Marisa Blake-Raut, DNP, FNP-C, ENP-C, CWOCN-AP, is a nurse practitioner board certified in 5 specialties including family, emergency, wound, ostomy, and continence. Marisa has extensive experience in internal medicine, primary care and wound healing. She earned her first Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Tennessee and her second Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing with a double major in both Family and Emergency specialties at Emory University and her Doctorate in Nursing from Yale University. Marisa has dedicated her career to provide care to diverse populations and contribute to a future of more equitable care, including her special interest in pharmacoequity.
Marisa has published projects related to patient safety related to medication prescribing and has presented at the 2025 AANP National and the 2024 SOHN Regional Conferences regarding medication reconciliation and adverse events. She was also chosen as Yale’s 2024 Scholar’s Day Presenter to represent the Clinical DNP Program.
Marisa has over 20 years of healthcare experience and spent her career helping patients to achieve their best health and achieving personal health goals. Marisa has focused her most recent experience on providing a holistic approach to general family medicine with focus on preventative medicine, chronic and acute disease management, mental health management, and health optimization.
Marisa takes special interest in helping patients to learn how to prevent disease, understand and manage their conditions and symptoms, and identify areas to improve health. Her overall goal is to support better quality of life for every patient. Marisa approaches medicine as a partnership with her patients and is dedicated to ensuring each patient receives tailored, individualized care to best meet both their health needs and goals.
