Albin Y. Oh, MD, is a board certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Oh obtained his bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Virginia, his MD from Boston University School of Medicine, and then completed his internal medicine residency training at Boston Medical Center.
He has participated in both clinical and basic science research, including clinical research at Massachusetts General Hospital (affiliate of Harvard Medical School); as a Research Scholar at the internationally-recognized Framingham Heart Study centered on the pathological link between heart failure, kidney disease, and the underlying inflammatory process; and studied regenerative medicine applications as a cardiology research fellow at Emory University School of Medicine before transitioning to Primary Care.
His work has been published in multiple prestigious journals including Circulation: Heart Failure and PLoS One. In the past he has been selected to present his work at multiple national conferences including the American College of Cardiology, the Heart Failure Society of America, and the Society of General Internal Medicine.
While Dr. Oh committed much of his post-graduate time to research endeavors, he ultimately realized his passion as a trained physician lies in direct patient care, helping patients remain healthy and be available in their time of need. He is dedicated to practicing compassionate, evidence-based medicine with a strong continuity of care focus. Dr. Oh is experienced with working in multiple patient care settings with diverse patient populations. His clinical interests include ischemic heart disease, heart failure, hypertension, and preventive medicine. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Oh enjoys spending time with his wife and two Belgian Sheepdogs, hiking, and fishing.
